Get Your Kids Creative This Winter at ClayGround Brookvale!

We are thrilled to announce that our term 2 School Holiday ClayCamp is officially coming to the Northern Beaches! This July, we’re opening the doors of our Brookvale studio to the next generation of makers for a high-energy, hands-on school holiday experience.

Designed specifically for kids aged 8–16, our ClayCamp is the ultimate way to swap screen time for studio time. Our school holiday program gives young potters the skills and confidence to create their own functional bowls, cups and sculptures in small and intimate group sizes.

Our ClayCamp Experience

Each session is a deep dive into the world of ceramics, whilst keeping it light and playful. We split the time to give students a well-rounded experience:

  • Hand Building: Mastering the art of sculptural and structural forms.
  • Wheel Throwing: Getting behind the pottery wheel to experience the magic of the spin.

Note: To book a Full-Day workshop, simply book the morning and afternoon sessions separately. We’ll supervise the lunch break in between!

What to Bring;

  • Clothes: Comfortable "studio" clothes (clay washes out, but it's best to be safe!).
  • Footwear: Strictly closed-toe shoes.
  • Fuel: Snacks and a water bottle (plus lunch if staying for a Full-Day).

What’s Included?

  • We provide all materials, aprons, and expert guidance. All ClayGround teachers are WWCC certified, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Taking Your Masterpieces Home: At the end of the class, students take their creations home with them! Please bring a sturdy box to transport the wet clay pieces safely.

Want to make them functional?

Once your pieces are "bone dry" at home, bring them back to our Brookvale studio for the finishing touches:

  • Professional Finish: We will glaze your work in our signature white and fire it for you ($25 per piece).
