Pottery Collection

When will my finished pottery be ready for collection?
What are your studio collection times?

Our Rosebery studio collection times are;

  • Monday to Sunday: 10am-2pm

Our Brookvale studio collection times are;

  • Tuesday to Sunday: 10am-2pm

Kiln Hire & Firing

Do you offer public kiln hire and firing services?

Absolutely. We provide commercial stoneware Kiln Hire & Firing Services for external ceramicists, hobbyists, and artists. You can pay per piece by weight or hire a full kiln load for bisque and glaze firings.

What happens if my piece cracks or breaks in the kiln?

We are not responsible for a piece cracking, breaking, exploding or any other type of unsatisfactory result after firing.

Studio Memberships

Do you offer studio memberships for independent potters?

Yes! We offer weekly and yearly ClayGround Studio Memberships at both our Brookvale and Rosebery studios. Members get access to wheels, handbuilding tables, studio glazes, and storage space to work independently on their projects.

Can I join a class and course if i'm not a member?

Yes you can! ClayGround holds regular classes and courses for members as well as non-members.

I'm a beginner. Is a membership for me?

ClayGround memberships are designed for hobbyists, and experienced artists that have completed at least a beginner’s pottery course and are confident working independently. There is always someone on hand in the studio to answer your questions however.

If you’d rather have something a little more structured, we run regular classes & Courses where you can have the support of our trained teachers.

What kind of support will I get as a member?

ClayGround has full-time technicians that are happy to help answer simple questions, however for further assistance we offer a range of different ClayTime support sessions for members looking for a refresher or advice. We run these multiple times a month and members can book in through the class section in our member app.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes you can! Members can request to freeze their membership at anytime for a minimum of 1 week and maximum of 4 weeks in a 12 month period.

To freeze, please notify info@clayground.com.au with a minimum of a week's notice.

Studio Gift Vouchers

How do ClayGround gift vouchers work?

Digital Pottery Gift Vouchers are sent instantly via email, remain valid for 3 years, and can be redeemed for any class, course, drop-in, or membership across both studios.

NOTE: Vouchers can not be apply to your booking once you have already paid.

Studios, Locations & Parking

Where are ClayGround studios located, and how do I access them?

Brookvale Studio: 11 Mitchell Rd, Brookvale, NSW 2100. Street parking is available along Mitchell Rd. Plan your visit on our Brookvale Pottery Studio page.

Rosebery Studio: 601 Botany Rd, Rosebery, NSW 2018. Easily accessible via buses or Green Square Station. Explore details on our Rosebery Pottery Studio page.

Is there parking available at the studios?

Yes! We have dedicated private parking spots located directly in front of both our Brookvale and Rosebery studios reserved specifically for ClayGround students and customers.

If our front spots happen to be full, there is also plenty of convenient street parking available right around both locations:

  • Brookvale Studio: Ample free street parking is available along Mitchell Road and neighboring side streets.
  • Rosebery Studio: Plenty of street parking can be found along Botany Road as well as surrounding side streets.

Bookings, Rescheduling & Cancellations

What is your class & course cancellation and refund policy?

Full refunds are issued for cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to class via email. Check our full Terms & Cancellation Policy for detailed policies on rescheduling fees.

Can I attend a makeup session if I miss a week of my course?
No, makeup sessions are not offered due to fixed capacity limits across our progressive 5-Week & 10-Week Pottery Courses.

What is your private lesson & group event cancellation & refund policy?

Full refunds are issued for cancellations made at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled event via email. Check our full Terms & Cancellation Policy for detailed policies on rescheduling fees.

Private Group Events & Off-Site Events

Can I book a private pottery event for a party or corporate group?

Yes! We host custom Private Pottery Events & Parties including Hens and Bucks parties, team building, and milestone birthdays at both Rosebery and Brookvale, complete with BYO drinks and catering space.

Can ClayGround host a pottery event at my own venue or office?

Yes, our instructors can bring everything including clay, tools and materials directly to your workplace, home, or rented venue with our Off-Site Mobile Pottery Events.

Kids & Teen Programs

Do you run pottery classes or holiday programs for children?

We do! We offer term-based After School Kids Pottery Classes alongside dedicated School Holiday ClayCamps designed specifically for young creatives and teens.

Classes & Studio Experience

Do I need prior experience or special artistic skills?

None at all. All of our One-Off Beginner Pottery Classes are designed for complete beginners with step-by-step guidance.

Can I BYO food and drinks?

Yes BYO alcohol and snacks is welcome for some of our pottery experiences. These include our Sip & Spin Wheel Throwing Classes, Pottery Date Nights, and Private Group Events.

Studio Drop-In Sessions

Can I book casual drop-in pottery sessions without a full membership?

Yes, experienced potters and past course students can book casual Rosebery Drop-In Sessions or Brookvale Drop-In Sessions to use our studio equipment, glazes and open work spaces on a pay-per-session basis.
