Pottery Collection

How long does it take to fire my piece?

If you have joined us for our one-off class or private lesson, it takes around 5 weeks after your lesson, in which you will receive an automated email & SMS to collect your pieces.

If you have joined us for our Course, it takes around 2 weeks after your class, in which you will receive an automated email & SMS to collect/glaze your pieces.

NOTE: these are automated so if you are traveling far to collect, you should call beforehand to confirm as there may be slight delay.

What are your studio collection times?

Our studio collection times are;

Weekdays: 9pm-4:30pm

Weekends: 10am-2pm

Firing Services

Do you offer a firing service for pieces I made elsewhere?

Yes we do.

It is $10 per kilo, per firing or you can book out one of our 200, 300 or 500 litre kilns.

We are stoneware studio and fire to 1250 degrees, so you will need to make sure your clay is compatibly with this temperature.

If you with to fire earthenware clay, we can do that however you will need to book out a full kiln.

What happens if my piece cracks or breaks in the kiln?

We are not responsible for a piece cracking, breaking, exploding or any other type of unsatisfactory result after firing.

Memberships

Can I do Classes and Courses if i'm not a member?

Yes you can, ClayGround holds regular classes and Courses for members and non-members.

I'm a beginner. Is a membership for me?

ClayGround membership is for everyone—inquisitive beginners, off and on hobbyists, and experienced artists. There’ll always be someone on hand in the studio to answer your questions. But if you’d rather have something a little more structured, we run regular classes & Courses where you can have the support of our trained teachers.

What kind of support will I get as a member?

ClayGround has full-time technicians that are happy to help answer simple questions, however for further assistance we offer a range of different ClayTime support sessions for members looking for a refresher or advice. We run these multiple times a month and members can book in through the class section in our member app.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes you can.

Members can request to freeze their membership at anytime for a minimum of 1 week and maximum of 8 weeks in any 12 month period.

To freeze, please notify members@clayground.com.au with a minimum of a week's notice.

Booking with your vouchers

Gift Vouchers

To book in using your ClayGround Gift vouchers, simply add the gift voucher code at checkout to automatically apply it to your order.

NOTE: Vouchers can not be apply to your booking once you have already paid.
