Contra Studio Technician

ON-SITE: ROSEBERY / NORTHERN BEACHES

CASUAL POSITION (UNPAID)

This position give you the chance to learn in our studio and support our team with general operational tasks, providing technical support for around 5 hours per week (can be flexible on which days per week).

In return you would get unlimited studio access to practice your own art as well as storage space during this volunteer period. 

We are a locally owned and run eco-ceramic studio group located in Rosebery, as well as our new studio in the northern beaches of Sydney. We offering classes, workshops, memberships, events, parties and one-time experiences.

We are looking for someone who is looking to gain some experience working in a studio, and wanting to learn the day to day operations.


The key purpose of the role is to assist with the general operations of our studios and includes but not limited;

  • General studio tiding and reorganising.
  • Clay management & recycling.
  • Glazing & coding student pieces.

Northern Beaches Studio Technician/Administrator

ON-SITE: NORTHERN BEACHES

POSITION: PART-TIME 

SALARY: Available on request

We are a locally owned and run eco-ceramic studio located in Rosebery, as well as our new studio in the northern beaches of Sydney. We offering classes, workshops, memberships, events, parties and one-time experiences.

We run a range of different classes and workshops to give our students a wide understanding of ceramics, and cater for all skill levels.

The key purpose of this role is to manage the day to day operational/admin tasks of the studio, including but not limited;

  • Client relations including phone calls and emails.
  • Sales and lead conversions.
  • Studio maintenance & inventory management (Ordering, restocking, tidying, watering plants etc).
  • Member relations including retention campaigns.
  • Event management & general administrative tasks.
  • Teaching.
  • Overseeing piece tracking (Trimming, coding, sorting etc.)
  • Glazing making, formulating and management.
  • Kiln maintenance & operations.
  • Clay recycling & management.



In addition to the above you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

Ceramics Teacher

ON-SITE: ROSEBERY / NORTHERN BEACHES

CASUAL POSITION

RATE - $60 PER HOUR

We are a locally owned and run eco-ceramic studio located in Rosebery, as well as our new studio in the northern beaches of Sydney. We offering classes, workshops, memberships, events, parties and one-time experiences.

We are looking for a ceramics teacher that has experience with Hand Building and Wheel throwing. 


We run a range of different classes and workshops to give our students a wide understanding of ceramics, so any new ideas and styles are always welcome. We also run kids and adults classes so the ability to teach all age groups is preferable. 


The key purpose of the role is to teacher students ceramics and includes but not limited;

  • Teach classes on weekdays, weekends and evenings for groups of 1-8 students.
  • Working with Children and Adults.
  • Managing and running a class.


In addition to the above you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced in both Handbuilding & Wheel Throwing
  • Working with kids check.
