Get messy and make memories at our 9-week After-School Pottery Course. Perfect for kids and teens who want to swap screen time for "clay time," this course offers a unique midweek creative escape where students learn real pottery skills in a brand-new, professional studio environment.

At ClayGround, kids and teens are guided through a structured yet playful curriculum. They will explore the fundamentals of both hand-building and wheel throwing to create beautiful, functional ceramic pieces they can actually use at home.

Course Details:

• When: Every Wednesday (Term 2)
• Time: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
• Duration: 9 Weeks
• Where: ClayGround Brookvale (Our brand-new studio!)
• Who: Creative kids & teens aged 8 & above
• Experience Level: No skills required — Beginner friendly!

Course Structure:

Hand-building (Weeks 1-4):

• Students begin with the fundamentals of clay, learning pinch, coil, and slab construction. This phase focuses on creative expression and structural design as they build unique mugs, dishes, or sculptural pieces.

Wheel Throwing (Weeks 5-8):

• As students gain confidence with the material, they move to the potter's wheel. Under expert guidance, they will learn the thrill of centering, pulling, and shaping their very own bowls and cups.

Glazing day! (Weeks 9):

• Students will use our wide selection of glaze colours to paint and decorate their pieces, bringing their creations to life.

**PLEASE NOTE: Ages 8+ (Drop-off only). Clay is organic and unpredictable; cracked or warped pieces are part of the process and aren't replaced. Make-ups aren't guaranteed, so please book dates carefully. We’ll notify you when pottery is ready for pickup (approx. 2 weeks after the final class).
