At ClayGround, kids (and teens!) get guided through a fun, beginner-friendly clay workshop where they learn real pottery skills like handbuilding and (for older kids) wheel throwing. Our professional instructors keep things playful, safe, and full of creative expression 

Party Options:

Handbuilding Party: Kids aged 5–9

• A playful beginner pottery experience where kids create and decorate their own clay pieces using handbuilding techniques.

• Handbuilding is perfect for younger children, as it focuses on creativity and shaping clay by hand without the physical strength and coordination required for the pottery wheel.

Handbuilding + Wheel Throwing Party: Kids aged 10–16

• An extended party experience combining handbuilding with the thrill of learning basic wheel throwing under expert guidance.

• Wheel throwing requires more strength, control, and coordination, which is why this option is designed for older kids and teens.

What’s Included:

• 2-hour guided pottery workshop with experienced WWCC-certified instructors
• All clay, tools and equipment provided
• Each child creates their own ceramic piece to take home
• Fun, safe and creative atmosphere
• BYO cake & drinks welcome
• Beginner-friendly, inclusive and structured to suit ages 5–16

Pricing Options:

• $75 per child
  Includes full party experience, materials and instructor support
  (Children may take home their raw clay creation on the day)

Capacity:

• ClayGround Brookvale, 6-20 people.
  
• ClayGround Rosebery, NOT available.

Optional Firing & Glazing Upgrade:

Want your child’s pottery to be professionally glazed and kiln fired?

• Add a firing & glazing service for +$25 per piece.
• Your child’s work will be finished and glazed in our studio clear glaze.
  
• Turnaround roughly 5–6 weeks and we’ll notify you when ready
• Pick up from the studio once completed

T&C's: A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date and time. With the balance payable no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled event. If your group chooses to include a piece, the Firing & Glazing process takes roughly 5-6 weeks. We will then email you when they are ready for collection. If you do not return to pick up your pottery within a month of the pickup date, we'll donate it to those in need in our community.
